Not far from the church, there is a place called Hov. This name indicates that there probably was a religious centre here in pre-Christian times as well. On the other side of the stream, there are several Bronze Age rock carvings.
Idd Church still has the baptismal font, a figurine of St. Michael and two crucifixes from the Middle Ages. In medieval times, people believed that the north side was the home of evil spirits. Therefore, there are no windows on the north side of Idd Church.
