The Pilgrim Centre is a visitor and information centre. Both local walkers and pilgrims taking the long pilgrimage to Nidaros Cathedral visit the centre. The Pilgrim Centre in Hamar is situated on historical ground beside the Pilgrims' Way, and from the Pilgrim Centre, you look directly across to Hamar Cathedral and the glass cathedral, which was and is an important pilgrimage destination for many pilgrims.

The center can provide guidance and facilitate pilgrimages between Oslo and Trondheim in general, and in the region of Hamar especially.

Luggage transport. Pilgrim center Hamar can offer luggage transport on request. Offer applies to the stretch between Tangen and Lillehammer.

From Lillehammer to Dovre, please contact Dale-Gudbrand Pilgrim Center.

Accomodation at the Center. We also offers accommodation in a dormitory, two rooms with ten beds (6+4). Remember to bring your own food. Self-catering. Bikes for hire.

*This hostel is accredited and recommended by the National Pilgrim Centre. It has met the same requirements, and holds the same standard, as the pilgrim accommodation along Camino de Santiago and Via Francigena.
