Granavollen Pilgrim Center

Granavollen Pilgrim Center is one of six regional pilgrimage centers located along the Gudbrandsdalsleden, and the centre's main task is to stimulate and guide pilgrims within the region for which the center is responsible.

Pilgrimssenter Granavollen's region and area of ​​responsibility extends from Hole municipality, via subsequent municipalities Ringerike, Jevnaker, Lunner, Gran, Vestre Toten, Østre Toten and Gjøvik. The region extends through both Viken and Innlandet counties, in addition to the bishoprics of Hamar and Tunsberg, and the three dioceses above Ringerike, Hadeland and Toten (Den Norske Kirke). There are 19 churches and over 50 accommodations here, and the Pilgrimsleden over this area is often referred to as the Vestleden. We cover approximately 180 km of the Gudbrandsdalsleden in our region. In addition, we have approximately 60 km of local pilgrimage trails, the Lunnerleden and the Balkeleden

Pilgrims Center Granavollen has a comprehensive visitor and information center at Granavollen, where we offer maps, books, magazines and pilgrim articles for sale. We have a pleasant outdoor and indoor area for relaxation and recreation for the wandering pilgrim. We are a place for you who are curious about pilgrimages, who are planning, are on the way or have finished a pilgrimage. In the high season June - August we have fixed opening hours 10:00 - 16:00 every day. In addition, we are available and open to everyone on request, at events and other things, all year round.

Pilgrimssenter Granavollen's friend association, Pilgrimsfelleskapet Ringerike Hadeland Toten (RiHaTo), covers the entire region and is part of the Pilgrims' Association in Norway. Together, we organize walks and disseminate knowledge to develop and interest in the Pilgrim's Trail throughout the country, but in our region in particular.
