Vingelen Church
Situated along Østerdalsleden
The present day church is the third church in Vingelen. The first church was located at Persjordet, where there today is a farm. It is said to have been a single-nave stave church. It was probably demolished soon after church number two, Trefoldighetskirken, was completed in 1653. Trefoldighetskirken was demolished in 1882, after the current church was ready.
Vingelen Church is a long-roofed church with a gallery and 300 seats. It was built very quickly and was consecrated on 17 November 1880. In 1926, the inside of the church was decorated by Ragnvald Einbu.
The church is open to visitors in the summer. Opening times can be found here at vingelen.no
