On the trail
The shape of the arena is inspired by the boats and ships made by the Vikings - functional, elegant and as aesthetically pleasing today as they was a thousand years ago. It was built for the Winter Olympics at Lillehammer in 1994, and today its the national arena for ice skating.
During the winter season it is possible to hire skates and go ice skating.
