Vikbron

Situated along St. Olavsleden
The longest wooden bridge in Sweden.

Vikbron is a wooden bridge near Fränsta in Ånge municipality, Medelpad. The bridge, which crosses Ljungan at the entrance to Torpsjön, was built in 1888 by Finnsta-Vikens villagers as an alternative to the then tarred bridge over Byforsen, about a kilometer upstream.

The folding bridge, with its 133 meters, is Sweden's longest wooden bridge. The bridge foundations and superstructure are also of wood. The bridge was damaged when a flood in the summer of 2000 hit the countryside, but has since been restored. The reopening happened in 2005, and in connection with the reopening, the County Board of Västernorrland County decided to declare the bridge a listed heritage site.

Vikbron is owned by Roggaforsen Finnsta Vikens association (RFV association).
