The first church in Tynset was consecrated in 1211 by Archbishop Thore - to St Thomas, St Laurentius and St Margrete. This oldest church site is marked at the trail where you have a nice view of Tynset church.
Tynset Church is an octagonal church from 1795, built in timber and has 700 seats.
