Not far from the østerdalsleden lies Tynset Church
The first church in Tynset was consecrated in 1211 by Archbishop Thore - to St Thomas, St Laurentius and St Margrete. This oldest church site is marked at the trail where you have a nice view of Tynset church.
Tynset Church is an octagonal church from 1795, built in timber and has 700 seats.
In the summer season 2024, the church is open daily from 17th of June until 11th of August, from 10.00 til 19.00.
