Tingstedet

Right by the road leading to Klatring på Grensen (climbing park), you can glimpse a few standing stones through the trees. If you enter the area, you can experience the diverse burial practice of the Iron Age period. Here at Tingstedet you can see stone circles, burial mounds and burial cairns.

The burial place consists of two stone formations, one circle of erected stones, one round mound and a round burial cairn. Here you can also see a deep trench in the ground that goes parallel with the road. This is a hollow way, where people have wandered for so long that it has, over many years of wear and tear, become a trench.
