Tiller, the suburb just outside of Trondheim, has a long church history and five churches have supposedly been located here. The first was demolished in 1665, while church number three was inaugurated in 1801 before it disappeared in the now infamous landslide in 1816.

The church you see today was inaugurated in 1901 and is a long church built in timber with seating for 200 people. Its location makes it a visible landmark in Trondheim, especially from the many elevated areas around the city.

The church is not located on the path, but can be reached by taking a 1,7 km detour from the path. When you reach the stream, continue straight ahead up the hill, instead of following the path to the right along the stream.
