The two houses the nuns lived in while the new monastery was being built, are now used as a guesthouse. The nuns sing the Liturgy of the Hours 7 times a day and earn their living by producing herbal soaps, balsam and skin creams. A visitor’s center with an exhibit on Cistercian life and the monastery shop is open every week day during the summer season.
We offer accommodation in the guesthouse if there is space and the guesthouse is open. Pilgrims should report arrival - preferably the day before as we do not always have room. This can be done at firstname.lastname@example.org phone 74 80 85 51 in the time at 10.00 - 12.00 or kl. 15.00 - 17.00. Alternatively, you can send an SMS to 406 72 655.
The price for one night is NOK. 200,- for bed and shower and use of kitchen. Supper and breakfast by request in advance costs NOK 200,-
If you wish for food or to stay an extra night, the usual guest price is paid: NOK. 525,- for accommodation and NOK 425,- for full board.
In high season, the guesthouse is often full, and we can not offer dinner, but you can buy dinner at Klostergården 2 km walk from the monastery.
This accommodation offer only applies to pilgrims.
