Sygard Grytting - historical site

Situated along Gudbrandsdalsleden
Sygard Grytting a historical site and farm

Sygard Grytting is an old farm estate, today functioning as a hotel. Coal pits, rich grave findings dating back to the 4th century, and Viking burial grounds suggests early settlement and powerful families living in the area. Today's owner Halvor Grytting is the 17th generation running the farm. It has been the Grytting’s property at least since 1534, but most likely longer and probably as far back as the 14th century.
