Preståsen Pilegrim Hostel

This private and central hostel is located at the top of the historic and scenic Preståsen and offers 2 (-4) beds + access to all facilities (kitchen, bathroom, living room with pilgrim literature, Wi-Fi and bicycles). The pilgrim room also disposes its own microwave, kettle, and desk.

A modern design with a lush of plants characterizes the spacious house, which has everything you need as well as a surrounding garden and terrace, where you can relax and enjoy a book or stroll up to the forest and Brydedammen pond and enjoy a sunset and the city view.

The hostel sells pilgrim passports, scallop shells, Olav symbols, walking sticks etc, has its own pilgrim seal (+ whale sticker:) and is in the immediate vicinity to all the city’s attractions such as the Whaling Museum, shops, diners, Gaia’s Viking ship workshop and more.

The hostel is 5 min walk from the train/bus station, 10 min walk from the ferry port connecting Sandefjord with Strømstad/Sweden, and 10 min drive from Torp international airport. Transport to/from airport can be organized by appointment in the case of non-corresponding train times.

If desirable, a 3-course pilgrim dinner can be prepared (please inform of any allergies on beforehand when booking). Check-in: 4 pm, Check-out: 10 am (or by appointment). In case more beds are needed, please contact the hosts that will do their utmost to find solutions :)
