Stange vicarage
This was one of the village's biggest farms. Over 50 farms belonged to "Strange priesttable" in the 1600s. In the 1800s, had the vicarage all 28 crofts, mostly in the forest Prestmarka.
Harriet Backer, one of the most important female painters, lived at the vicarage for several summers with Pastor Kielland (the author's brother). One of her paintings is "Altergang i Stange kirke" painted in 19013. As models she used the elders on Fokhol elder-centre. They got 10 øre an hour for standing model, but it was too little and started Stanges first known walkout.
