This little, distinctive church wishes travellers welcome to Lillehammer from its location in the middle of Søre Ål's farmland, south of the city centre. It is located in open terrain, overlooking the lake Mjøsa and with a cemetery in the hill below.
The building consist of masonry and wood and accommodates 250 people. It was drawn by architect Bjarne Bystad Ellefsen, designer of several other Norwegian churches.
