Solli Church was built in an old place for dancing, in what is now called Desideria’s grove. The grove is named after Queen Desideria, married to King Charles XIV John of Sweden.

Solli Church is a wooden church, opened in 1904. The church is beautifully located on a small hill, surrounded by grand oak trees. In the churchyard, there is a memorial monument dedicated to the soldiers who fell during the war against Sweden in 1814. Desideria’s grove was declared a nature reserve in 2016.
