Solåsen Pilgrim Hostel

Solåsen is owned by the ecumenical organization The Peter Foundation, and offers accommodation at a beautiful site in Son. The location is central but secluded, in what many consider to be one of the Oslofjords finest viewpoints.

The hostel has 16 rooms with room for 24 people - there is also room for 30 more people in the lavvo (large tent). The rooms are basic and there is access to a shared bathroom in the corridor. Guests can choose if they just want a bed, or bed and breakfast. Some rooms have kitchenettes.

A chapel resembling a catacomb is open all day, and anyone is welcome to use it.

This hostel is accredited and recommended by the National Pilgrim Centre. It has met the same requirements, and holds the same standard, as the pilgrim accommodation along Camino de Santiago and Via Francigena.
