Sakslund

Sakslund, originally named Lund, was given its present name in the 14th century by an owner named Saxe. His son, the nobleman Ogmund Saxason also lived here. He was the chief judge at Opplandene. He presumably died during the Black Death.

From 1614 onwards, Sakslund became a noble farm, and belonged for many generations to the noble family of Bjelke. It was Hans Bjelke who in 1652 gave the altarpiece to Stange Church.
