Burials was an important part of Iron Age daily life. The graves were often placed nearby the settlement, we can therefore assume that a farm was situated nearby the Rørskogen area. This way, the ancestors could easily be remembered, and at the same time watch over the living. At the signs in Rørskogen you can read about both burial practice and everyday farm life in the Iron Age. You can also se a picture of a reconstructed Iron Age farm.
