This is the only church along Østerdalsleden in Trysil.

Plassen Church is made of timber and was inaugurated in 1907.

The previous church was struck by lightning and burned down in 1904. It had an octagonal shape and was consecrated in 1879. The baptismal font was saved and is now part of the new church.
