Enjoy a slow journey onboard the historical DS Skibladner at Mjøsa Lake.

The waterway across Mjøsa Lake was used as part of pilgrimages to Nidaros already in the Middle Ages. Many pilgrims would have arrived by boat on one of the shores near Hamar.

Today, pilgrims can cross the lake on DS Skibladner, the oldest paddle steamer in the world that is still in regular service, as part of their pilgrimage. Skibladner is a pilgrim friendly boat that offers discounts to pilgrims who carry a pilgrim passport.

DS Skibladner sails between these eight ports in summer 2024: Hamar, Gjøvik, Lillehammer, Moelv, Brumunddal, Atlungstad, Evjua, Kapp og Nes.

The southernmost port will then be Evjua Strandpark in Totenvika on Sundays.
