Østgaard

Østgaard is located just outside of the center of Halden, and close to the pilgrim trail. Because of its grandiose facilities, it has in recent times become a venue for weddings and conferences.

This is a farm with strong historic roots, that was first mentioned in writing in 1390. Våningshuset, as it appears today, is from 1824.

Through generations there has been traditional farming here and today the farm produces corn on 450 hectares of land. Up until the 1960s, milk production was also an important part of the farms income.

The animals on the farm create a lot of joy for the people who come to visit. The fish in the pond, the ducks, the cats and the dogs, as well as the large garden helps making Østgaard an idyllic place.

The farm offers accommodation for up to 12-15- people - in an apartment that is connected to the house as well as a small flat for up to 4 people. Both possibilities includes a kitchen where guest can cook their food.

There is also a tennis court and a beach volleyball court on the premises that can be booked.
