St. Olav Spring

In hope of beeing cured of various diseases people sough to this spring at Brøttum in the Middle Ages (500-1500). Believing in the healing powers of the water people would drink it and washed themselves with it. In ancient Catholic tradition, pilgrims would throw coins into the spring to pray for St. Olav's blessings.
These springs are often underground reservoirs where water runs out. Common for most of them is that St. Olav once where there, and that they rarely run out even during dry periods.
