The open-air museum gives you a glimpse of life in a Norwegian pioneering community in the American Upper Midwest during the period between 1870 and 1920. Besides the residence house and the outbuildings, the museum also has a one-room schoolhouse and a Church. There is also a museum building where there are exhibitions and a research library, among other things.
