12 of the graves are so-called round mounds, while the last one is a long barrow. Perhaps you can spot which one that stands out? Several of the mounds got a plundering pit at the top. These pits are luckily almost as old as the mounds themselves. The desire for the grave’s fabled riches might have seemed tempting for a lot of people, but there were also myths connected to these artefacts. More on the subject can be found at the information sign on the site.
