Lille Re Farm
On the Northside of the houses at Store Re there is a large burial mound (23 meter wide, 3,5 meters tall). This is claimed to be one of the most beautiful burial mounds located close to Mjøsa. Presumably a "chief tumulus " from the Roman Iron Age.
There has been found a bronze buckle as well as two rings of gold from the roman time period (0-400) at Lille Re. There has also been found remains of a sword. Similar findings from the same time period have also been made at other farms in Stange. This suggests that the people in this region have been fighting on the borders of the Roman Empire.
