Lia gård, pilgrimage center

The Pilgrim house at Lia Gård has accomodation and is also a meeting point for pilgrims on their way through Østerdalen. It is beautifully situated in the height with a fantastic view over Lake Storsjøen. This is a nice place for a rest, surrounded by the forest and the silence.

The Pilgrim House at Lia welcomes you who are hiking, and they can offer accommodation, meals and information about the trail.

The Pilgrim House was opened in 2023 and is led by pilgrim hosts who welcome and give guidance to the pilgrims during the summer season.

Lia's own stave church, Johanneskirken, is located right next to the Pilgrim House and is always open and accessible.

At Lia Gård retreat centre, there are ongoing retreats. It may be possible for the pilgrims to attend the daily prayers there.

Lia Gård also has other options for accomodation: NOK 300 per person per night in Pilgrim cabin at Sørlia (Lia). Access to shower and toilet. Breakfast and lunch from the food box NOK 150. Hot food/dinner NOK 75.
