Lademoen church was opened on 15 november 1905 and was the first råkopp church in Norway which was built outside of Oslo. Thus, the church is a milestone in Norwegian stone architecture. Råkopp is the name that was used on raw carved stone where the visible surface of the facade curved outward. This technique had a touch of romantic nationalism and was popular in the early 1900's.

The church is a large brick building clad with natural stone built in the Art Nouveau / Neo-Romanesque style. The church was built in the years 1903-1905.
