This area is protected under the Nature Conservation Act because of instances of deciduous forest (elm-linden forests). Elm, maple, hazel, Lonicera xylosteum is not common in the area. Edel Deciduous forests contain rare ecological systems with more demanding plant species and a diverse wildlife.
