History
The island of Kinn has a rich history with the old stone church, Kinnakyrkja from the 12th century as a highlight. The legends about the Heilag people and Saint Sunniva, who came across the sea from the west and landed on Selja and Kinn, have always made an impression on people here. The well-known sailing mark " Kinnaklova " is in the west of the island. On the island is the old trading town in Kinnasundet from the 17th century. This DNT cabin was originally a schoolhouse. There was a school here from the 1920s.
