Skomakerbakken was once a homestead at Østby farm.
The cabin does not have running water and electricity, and it is an accommodation of simple standard. In the cabin itself there are three bedrooms, with a double bed, a family bed and single beds. There is also a small kitchen with kitchen utensils and a gas oven, and a shared living room. Outside, there is an outdoor "bathroom" with a shower curtain (not a shower), where you can wash. Water can be heated on the gas cooker.
In the smaller cabin, called Berget, there are three bunkbeds in a dormitory. All guests share kitchen and other facilities in the main cabin. The hosts at Østby Farm will make sure there is firewood, gas and water available for pilgrims staying the night. Feel free to contact them if you have any questions!
