Hafslund Church was originally an assembly hall for the Laborers Association in Hafslund, dating to the 1870s. In 1891, the hall was expanded and dedicated to chapel.

Hafslund Church is situated in the middle of a historically and prehistorically significant landscape. Not far from the church, you’ll find monumental rock art sites from the Bronze Age and burial sites from the Iron Age. The church’s altar piece includes a large Jesus plaster figure. Outside the church, there are toilets open to the public.
