Situated along Gudbrandsdalsleden
Archaeological memory, pre-historic burial field with over 20 gravemounds.

Burial site from the early Iron Age located on top of the ridge with wide overview over Tyri Fjord and the cultivated landscape. The farm Frøyshov takes its name after the temple (=hov) of the Norse god Frøy, also named Yngve. According to tradition, St.Olav, belonging to the Ynglingeætta (Yngling tribe), was a descendant of Frøy. The field consists of at least 20 round mounds.
