The new Frogner Church is a wooden church, built in 1925. This more recent church was built after the old Frogner Church was struck by lightning and caught fire in 1918.
Right next to the new church stands the old Frogner Church. It is a small medieval stone church with a steeply pitched roof. It most likely dates from the late 1100's or around the year 1200.
As the church caught fire in 1918, the interior decor was replaced and is therefore of more recent date. The restoration was completed in 1977.
