Dusgard was a noble farm until it became a vicarage in 1764. The name Dusgard comes from Norse language and can be translated as 'the farm located by the quiet river'. There used to be stream running through the property in ancient times, but it is now dried out.
Today’s hosts are the Løvland Frydenberg family. On the farm they grow both fruit and berries.
