Ås Church
Situated along Borgleden
Open on weekdays from 12:00 - 18:00 in July
In 1170, a stone church in romanesque style was built here. The church was adapted many times throughout history.
The present day church was built on the foundation of the old one. One can see stones from the old church in the fence that surrounds the cemetery. The glass paintings were made by Per Vigeland in 1930. There is a permanent exhibition in the church that gives an insight into the life around the church through history.
