In this charming house, in beautiful Åsgårdstrand, Edvard Munch lived for long periods of his life. Here, he worked, went for walks along the fjord and cultivated fruit, berries and vegetables. After his death, his house was bought by the municipality with the intention of opening the first Munch museum in 1947. The museum is still open today, and here you can get an insight into how he lived and worked, as well as see some of his works on display.
