Grønlia

Grønlia is nicely located with a view of Bymarka's largest lake Skjellbreia. The trip to us can start from Trondheim city center by tram to Lian, from there it is a small hour walk before you reach us. In their small kitchen, they make good hiking food, coffee and cinnamon rolls. We also have simple lunch dishes, good home-baked cakes, waffles, and norwegian “svele” and “lefse”. On Wednesdays we have dinner service. There are good camping options for both tents and hammocks in the areas around Skjellbreia and Grønlia, and we have toilet buildings that can be used from early morning until evening falls (locked at night).

Lavollen

Lavollen is a venerable, old place with a historic buzz, and is a popular place for hikers to stop by for a break or as a starting point for the forest hike in Bymarka. You can drive all the way to us, or you can take a bus to Byåsen Butikksenter and get a nice walk along several lakes with rich wildlife and nice trails. Moose, deer and beavers can often be observed. At Lavollen you can buy freshly baked bread, good cakes, simple lunch dishes, ice cream, cold drinks and of course coffee or cocoa with cream. There are good camping options for both tents and hammocks in the areas around Lavollen.
