The Pilgrim Season 2021
The season is over for 2020, but the pilgrim path is still marked and ready for shorter or longer trips.
It is difficult to predict what the summer of 2021 will be like and whether it will be safe and not least possible to holiday outside the country's borders. It is just as difficult to predict whether we will have the opportunity to welcome pilgrims from other countries to our pilgrim paths.
We who work with the pilgrim paths hope that the situation will improve when the new season comes, but are prepared for the fact that it may be necessary with as much focus on infection control as it has been this year. We will continue to follow the new developments and follow the advice provided by the authorities, so that everyone can experience a safe and good walk along our paths also in the time to come.
To follow the development and find the latest updates around this, you can follow this link:

We will continue to prevent the spread of infection, and the National Institute of Public Health's (FHI) guidelines for infection control are used as a basis for both hikers and those who offer services along the trail.
To ensure a safe and good experience for both guests and hosts, we ask that the following main principles will be followed:
- Do not go on a pilgrimage if you feel sick
- Keep a distance, minimum 1 meter from others, and pay attention to others, both walkers and hosts
- Be thorough with hand hygiene
- Plan your hike and book accommodation in advance
- We encourage you to bring a bottle of antibac in your bag
No matter the situation, the pilgrim path itself will be open for a journey with impact, with room for reflection, silence, beautiful and varied nature, churches, cultural monuments, physical activity and an arena to challenge oneself. Good hiking!
