Pilegrimsleden consists of nine historical trails starting in different parts of Norway and leading to Nidaros Cathedral in Trondheim. In the Middle Ages, pilgrims travelled from near and far to the tomb church of Saint Olav.

In recent times, pilgrimages have become popular again, especially among those interested in culture, history, and local cuisine. Some also go to get a break from everyday life and find time for reflection.

There are many cozy accommodations along the pilgrim trails in Norway.
