Jevnaker church is a wooden parish church which was built in 1834.The origins of the church was a stone church, probably built in the late 11th century. Possibly it was Olav Kyrre that built this church.
In the 19th century the church was considered to be too small. Additions were made in the early 19th century, but led to severe damage and both the church and the old church was demolished in 1832.
