Feginsbrekka - the hill of joy
From the top of Steinberget the view over the city is unbeatable.
Fra toppen av Steinberget er utsikten over byen uslåelig.
It was probably here, at the top of Steinberget where the view over the city is unmatched, the medieval pilgrims stopped to enjoy the view, fall on their knees and pray and praise in order to have reached the target. This place was called Feginsbrekka, and another word for this is "The Happy Hill".
Today buildings closes off the historic Feginsbrekka. To get a sense of the same views as they did in the Middle Ages, the pilgrim path is now marked with a small detour towards the view.
